No Excuse Fitness to Re-Open By June 8th

No Excuse Fitness opened its doors in April of 1996. It is crazy to look back upon all the highs and lows over the past 20 years. I can say with certainty that there has not been anything quite like these past two months; so much uncertainty and ever-evolving policies at play. It goes without saying that the hardest part of all of this has been not seeing all of you coming through our doors – we miss talking & training you. This being said, the response to our virtual 1on1 training has been inspiring and has opened an alternative to training at our studio but we do miss the in-person connection.

This week, we sent out a quick survey about your experience through the pandemic, and what you would like to see from No Excuse Fitness in order to reopen. Thank you to all those who took the time to share your thoughts and feelings with us.

Over the past few days, we have seen the state enter into the later stage of Phase 2 in many counties including Orange County. This led to many of the restaurants re-opening this past Memorial Day weekend. We have also seen a few other fitness places already re-open their doors by implementing proactive safety measures to clients in a reduced capacity.

Since our survey, I have started to receive a steady stream of emails & texts about our date of re-opening. I have Decided on june 8th. Why June 8th? Well, The Crossfit organization lobbied Sacramento is being relabeled as a “boutique gym” to help them reopen sooner. In my strong opinion, we are more than a “boutique gym”- heck, we are not a “boutique gym”, we are a private 1on1 personal training studio, so we should qualify even more!

If Crossfit and other group training studios are being considered to re-open in phase 2 and if people can be served in a restaurant, we can easily conduct business just as safe as a restaurant. We can take precautions such as we won’t hand you weights, we can have you handle your own weights, wear masks, gloves and take non-contact temperatures. We will also practice social distancing by keeping clients 6 feet from one another, and finally, clean all equipment thoroughly after every workout session. If you feel that this seems sensible, then I would like to invite you to come back next month starting Monday, June 8th. Since we are limiting how many clients can be trained during each time period, reserving your favorite time slot is crucial.

Now, if you feel that you are not ready to return, please don’t worry we will be here for you when you are ready. Also, if you want to get back to working out but don’t feel comfortable training in our studio, please let us set you up with online 1on1 personal training. It’s a great option for the interim. We actually have some clients that now only want online training due to the ease of training whenever they have free time for a 1on1 workout.

Either way, we are looking forward to seeing you again! If you have any questions for me,  please don’t hesitate to reach out by email or call me at 949-313-4034.

Here are our plans to keep both you and the trainers safe.
